With all the buildings on the rise around the High Line, it's easy to think there isn't room for even one more. But who are we kidding, of course there is. Edison Properties is selling half of a parking lot that extends from the elevated park to Eleventh Avenue between 17th and 18th streetsthey expect to fetch more than $400 million for the large development site, which can accommodate a 390-foot-tall residential tower. Edison's plans to build a Robert A.M. Stern tower there disintegrated, but it'll retain the eastern half of the parking lot, so maybe those old designs will be revived after a sale.
