These 124 Long Island City Condos Jump on the Bandwagon

Long Island City's insane number of new apartments is growing by the minute. Thanks to the Commercial Observer, add this one to the list: an office conversion at 42-15 Crescent Street, which is about half a block south of the Queensboro Plaza subway stop. What's not the most attractive design on earth—a solid bottom with a glassy topper will do that to ya—comes courtesy of Avinash K. Malhotra Architects; the revamped building will house 124 condos across 11 stories, as well as shops on the ground floor. The developer is Meadow Partners, which is also putting up a rental building across the street at 42-14 Crescent Street.

Via the Court Square Blog, what the building looked like, mid-conversion, as of May. The building switched from rentals to condos sometime in that time period.
