A Request For Proposals has been issued by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to turn the vacant TWA terminal at JFK Airport into a hotel. The RFP follows the fallen-through deal with hotelier André Balazs (The Standard High Line, The Mercer) to bring his vision to the Eero Saarinen-designed space. The 1962 terminal was renovated in 2008 following a 1994 landmarks designation. [CO; previously]
