Jamestown, the developers behind the wildly successful Chelsea Market, are hoping to achieve something akin at Industry City, a reappropriated factory complex in Brooklyn's Sunset Park. The site's manager Andrew Kimball "makes no bones that he's leveraging artists and their events to create a savvy buzz around the development in a way that no printed marketing material or ad buys ever could." Jamestown is relying on the hip and young to "push the boundaries into once-unloved neighborhoods" and bring the development the neccessry attention. So far, it seems to be working.
