The real life version of Blair Waldorf's fictional penthouse in Gossip Girl has gone into contract, Olshan Realty reports. The real penthouse, asking $30 million, doesn't actually bear much resemblance to the fictional one, but it does share the same address, and the exterior of the building, 1136 Fifth Avenue, was used in establishing shots on the show. The owner of the apartment, Warner Music Group CEO Stephen F. Cooper, purchased it in 2004 for $20 million. No word yet on the closing price or the identity of the buyer(s).
