GOVERNORS ISLAND—FIGMENT NYC, a free participatory art event on Governors Island, is now accepting entries for the 2015 City of Dreams pavilion. The pavilion is a yearly spectacle that is supported by the American Institute of Architect New York Chapter (AIANY) and the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY). This year's City of Dreams pavilion was designed by CDR Studio and is made of 30,000 plastic bottles that would have otherwise contributed to the city's waste stream. Professionals and non-professionals are encouraged to apply. [official; previously]

ALL OVER—Website Here Here has creates weekly cartoons for city neighborhoods based on city complaint data filed through 311. They're pretty funny, and also do the good service of tracking year-over-year changes in complaints by neighborhood. More here. [official]
