New York is for a many a city that necessitates roommates, but there are also many people who choose to share space with (non-intimate, non-familial) others. As per the NYT, a sociological analysis found that "the number of 20- to 49-year-olds who described themselves as the roommate of the head of a household, as working full time and earning at least $100,000 increased by 67 percent from 2000 to 2010-2012." Ah, so living alone isn't necessarily a demarcator of success. Refreshing! [NYT]
