Is Love Lane Mews The 15 Central Park West of Brooklyn?

New, 5 comments

The assertion that Brooklyn Heights' Love Lane Mews is pretty much the 15 Central Park West of Brooklyn (minus drama and celebrities, as far as we know) may be a bit absurd, but recent activity in the building would have us think otherwise. The sale of a 1,602-square-foot two-bedroom has hit public record at $2.9 million; that's $1.32 million more than what it was purchased for in 2012. And what's more is, the apartment has appeared to trade hands without a public listing. Oh, sneaky.

In June, another pad in the building sold for a massive $4.3 million, almost $1 million more than the asking price. Its previous owners had paid just $2.275 million for the four-bedroom place. In January 2013, the building's penthouse set the record for highest price-per-square-foot paid in the borough at $1,482. While that may be a bit off from 15 CPW's $6,000-plus-per-square-foot, our interest is piqued and eyes open.
