The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation is making a push to bring more public transit to the borough. Last week, the EDC launched a petition to build support for building the West Shore Light Rail, a system that was first proposed 10 years ago. It would cost $1 billion to build, and the EDC wants to fund a $5 million feasibility study. The rail line would stretch from Elm Park to Richmond Valley and connect to New Jersey. [DNAinfo]
