Greenpoint Warehouse To Grow Boxy Residential Protrusion

New, 4 comments

A warehouse on the corner of Quay and West streets in Greenpoint will grow a six-story residential appendage. YIMBY snagged a rendering for the Cayuga-developed 60,000-square-foot building that will have a mix of studios to 3BR's. The transmogrified structure will have five townhouses in the existing warehouse building, with remaining apartments in the Cycle Cities-designed addition, which is reminiscent of ODA's not all-too-far-away 5 Pointz-hugging development. Cayuga bought the property that's one block from the East River waterfront for $3.8 million in 2013. Construction will likely begin in 2015.
