Two new rental buildings will soon open on Caton Place in Brooklyn, and something of a rivalry has developed between the two. The building at 33 Caton Place, a 126-unit project by Sam Boymelgreen, named itself Kestrel after a bird of prey that was seen in Prospect Park, but the 73-unit rental by Hudson Companies at 22 Caton Place has yet to choose a name. Hudson Companies told the Times, "We're trying to think of a bird that eats kestrels." [NYT]
