The 43-story, 616-rental tower that is part of the far West Side's massive kind-of big Riverside Center project is finally rising. Construction of the Dermot Company building was thwarted when site-adjacent developer Atlantic Development Group and Dermot clashed over construction crane placement. The discrepancy resulted in a restraining order that halted work until the score was settled, which was apparently somewhat recently as evidenced by new views of the stout site grabbed by YIMBY. The SLCE-designed building rising at 21 West End Avenue stands but three stories tall. When complete, it will contain a four-story school, as well as one-, two- and some three-bedroom apartments.
