Yet another roadblock has appeared ahead of Long Island College Hospital's umpteenth sale attempt, this time to Fortis Property Group. The New York State Nurses Association has filed a temporary restraining order to halt the hospital's sale, reasoning that Fortis and cooperating partner NYU-Langone Medical Center have violated a promise to rehire LICH workers laid-off after SUNY closed the Cobble Hill hospital. It appears the incoming healthcare entity has been advertising for new, non-union hires on the web. Whoops. [BE; previously]
