Construction on the Ace Hotel coming to the Bowery is slowly but surely making some headway. Well, a Davey Drill has been rolled into position, and contractors are bustling around taking a lot of measurements. So it's a long way to go before the Salvation Army's old property gets turned into 188 hip rooms rise (and some of those units just might be condos), but at least there's some action to report.
