Extell's redevelopment of most of East 14th Street between Avenues A and B is moving along, as the row of one-story buildings that formerly occupied the site is no more. EV Grieve reports that "the former ABC Animal Hospital, Petland, Bargain Express, Rite Aid, Blarney Cove, Rainbow, the beauty shop, Jackson Hewitt, Pete's-a-Place and Stuyvesant Grocery" have all been razed to make way for the impending block-long seven-story condo and retail development. The only remaining building is no. 520, an apartment building that houses a Dunkin Donuts on the ground floor, which Extell apparently could not gets its hands on. The development will be constructed on either side of. The Dunkin Donuts will be moving down the street.
