Gentrification Watchers Watch

New, 2 comments

"Jeremiah Moss," the basically anonymous chronicler of New York shops, restaurants, buildings, and more that shutter because of skyrocketing rents and other reasons over at Jeremiah's Vanishing New York, gets profiled. The East Village resident started his blog in 2007, and is a first-hand witness to his own neighborhood's gentrification: "That thing I left the suburbs to get away from is now at our gates. It's been really frightening watching the creep of Starbucks east." The whole interview is worth a read. [Daily Beast]
