The revamped Collect Pond Park opened Downtown just a few months ago, after two years of delays, and it already needs repairs. Workers are digging up part of the park and draining the 100-foot-long water feature because of "a leak in a pipe connection next to a pump vault." The pond is currently empty, but maybe that will give the Parks Department time to hire a maintenance person to constantly fish out the garbage that blows into it, which neighbors complained about.
