Archicritic Justin Davidson agrees with Bill de Blasio that, "you shouldn't have to hock your eldest child to pay the rent." To that end, he's made some recommendations regarding the mayor's ambitious affordable housing agenda, "What [BdB] can do is pump city money into middle-class safe zones in Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx, and hope they don't catch on with the artisanal-pickle crowd."
