Two Buildings, 140 Units Coming to Williamsburg's Union Ave.

The Williamsburgification of Williamsburg continues. Two new buildings with roughly 140 apartments combined will rise on a stretch of Union Avenue in the blossoming (if you will) neighborhood. Developers Adam America, Slate Property Group, and Naveh Shuster have acquired 120 Union Avenue near Middleton Street, where the triad is planning a six-story, 100-apartment rental building with 2,000-square-feet of ground floor retail, TRD reports. Although further project details are scarce, it's safe to assume the apartments will have a place where tenants can hang their bowler hats.

The developers are also close to snagging nearby 100 Union Avenue, where they're planning a six- or seven-story building with 40 apartments. Aufgang Architects and Meshberg Group have been tapped to design the $65 million building at 120 Union Avenue, which is expected to begin construction in early 2015.
