New, 1 comment

NOMAD—Huys (the Dutch word for "house," pronounced the same) is getting a few final touches ahead of its October opening. The lobby of the 58-apartment building at 404 Park Avenue South will be home to a cast-iron chandelier, above, designed by Frederik Molenschot. The Dutch artist also designed the building's door numbers. Most of Huys's 58-apartments are in contract. Remaining homes include the $9.85 million PH 17A and the $6.75 million PH 15B. CHELSEA—People for increased green space are invited to join Friends of 20th Street Park on Friday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to hang out and sign a petition for the creation of a park at the site on 20th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues. Attendees are welcome to hang out in the temporary park (a parking space) and read the paper or do other things that people do in parks. [CurbedWire inbox; official]
