Comment Of The Day

The city should also consider removing ground floor apts in these buildings, opening up the land in between to more pedestrian friendly and adding retail. Projects end up becoming exclusive places removed from street life mix. By adding retail within and encouraging pedestrian passing through, it will add more of a variety and mix in these neighborhoods. It would provide (low pay though) retail jobs. That doesnt solve the housing crisis with units but it would add more revenue to these housing complexes and cause a better social mix so it doesnt feel as far removed from the city as they currently do.—NYC10001-10305 [How Parking Reform Might Actually Create Affordable Housing]
