As expected, the Church of the Redeemer at 561 Pacific Street on the corner of Fourth Avenue not far from the Barclays Center has sold to a developer. The Jackson Group paid just under $20 million for the site, and in an email, reps said they are evaluating various opportunities for the property. The site has 70,000-square-feet of buildable space, and the crumbling church, which is not landmarked and needs about $4M of repairs, will likely be demolished. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
