Kings Theatre Panorama; Brooklyn Heights Cinema Move

New, 2 comments

FLATBUSH—Earlier today, we brought you inside the incredible restoration of the Loew's Kings Theatre. But to get a sense of what it's really like in there, check out these awe-inspiring 360-degree panoramas courtesy of photographer Max Touhey. Until you can actually go inside the theatre when it opens in January, this is definitely as close as you can get. [Max Touhey; previously]

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS—A note posted on the door of the Brooklyn Heights Cinema reveals what we already knew: that the movie theater is moving because the building was building sold, but also throws a little shade at the neighbors, who weren't really supporting it anyway ("nowadays there are not enough movie goers in Brooklyn Heights to sustain a two screen cinema"). It also confirms that proprietor Kenn Lowy is trying to move the theater to Dumbo. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
