The controversially tall buildings on the Greenpoint waterfront — 77, 85 and 87 Commercial Street — now have new building permits, which were filed this week. The CetraRuddy Architecture designed towers will be 30 stories, six stories, and 40 stories, respectively. The height of the buildings, which had to be approved by City Council, allows for a lot more apartments, which is definitely the trend in Greenpoint right now. [Brownstoner; previously]
