Water Tanks Across the City Get Artsy For H2O Awareness

New, 2 comments

It's time to look up, New York. Word Above the Street, a nonprofit dedicated to environmental awareness and water conservation, has finally kicked off its Water Tank Project, reports the Journal. The long-planned initiative brings the water-themed artwork of newbies as well as veterans like Laurie Simmons and Ed Ruscha to sky-high water tanks. The project will affect some 300 tanks throughout the city and engage 100 artists while working towards raising awareness about water usage. The initiative will also be accompanied by tours, an educational program, and a symposium addressing global water issues.
