New Bed-Stuy 'Brownstone' Rentals Start From $2,000/Month

New, 10 comments

Oh hey, autumn, you're rather busy. Joining the hordes of new developments hitting the market right now is a new Bed-Stuy rental building on Macon Street. Brownstoner first reported that "The Brownstone" (yes) has started leasing, with a no-fee rental apartments that start with a studio for $2,000/month and range up to a 3BR/1BA for $3,300/month. There are nine units online right now, but 28 apartments in total that rose on land formerly owned by the United Order of Tents, an African-American social organization. Parking, laundry, a roof deck, and bike parking make up the whole package. They're being marketed by the same folks who are trying to make East New York gentrification happen. The prices are pretty steep for the area, and the photos of the units aren't that professional. Is it worth it?
