Panoramic Cityscapes at MCNY; Yoga Atop a Midtown Building

EAST HARLEM—Starting on October 15, more than 40 photographs by Taiwanese photographer Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao will be on display at the Museum of the City of New York. He creates complex, mesmerizing panoramas by merging multiple exposures of the same location that are shot over several hours, applying this technique to locations from the Flatiron Building and Bronx Zoo to the Staten Island ferry and subway stop on 72nd Street and Broadway. MIDTOWN—While it's not quite as terrifying as climbing to the top of 432 Park Avenue, some lady decided to do yoga on on the edge of a rooftop in Times Square. She balances on a beam atop an unidentified 25-story building, and while there appear to be no safety devices, this was not some daredevil stunt, but rather part of a photo shoot for a clothing line.
