A very determined rent-stabilized tenant is living through the gut-renovation of the East Village building he has called home for 44 years. Rory Denis, 65, is the last remaining tenant in the five-story building at 338 East 6th Street. Despite monetary offers of the five-digit variety ahead of the renovation, Denis refused to be bought-out. "I was born here, I'll die here. My yellow toenails are going to be embedded in the staircase as they drag me out," Denis told the Post. [NYP]
