Ryan Serhant first unveiled the brownstone-eating condo conversion at 225 East 81st Street on his Instagram account just three weeks ago. Now, with little lag time, three of the building's six units have come to market. 225 East 81st Street is a collection of apartments spread over six stories, two of which have been added atop the original brownstone and all of which are slabbed in a new limestone facade. The homes are large, with either three or four bedrooms and all have private outdoor space. As per the building's teaser site, apartments are tech-forward and come pre-wired and with built-in speakers, but still posses some pre-war touches like coffered ceilings and masonry wood-burning fireplaces.
The building's third-floor apartment is also on the market, although a floorplan for the $3.5 million three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home has yet to be unveiled. Occupancy is expected in the winter of 2014.
