Dozens of officials have spoken out about the "poor door" policy that allows developers to build buildings with two entrancesone for market rate units and another for affordablebut no one seems to care if developers build two entirely separate buildings. The same inclusionary housing program allows for "offsite" affordable units that developers must build within the same community district or within a half mile of the free market building. So basically, a separate door without waterfront views? Not cool. A building that's three blocks away in a crappier part of the 'hood? Totally cool. [Crain's; previously]
