The community around the Ridgewood Reservoir, a 55-acre former reservoir that has been taken over by nature, has been fighting to keep the wild space wild, and it looks like they might get their wish. The city had planned to do anti-flooding construction on the site, but now the site may be reclassified as a "low-risk dam" which would eliminate the need for flood mitigation.
