Designer Kent Johnson's idea for a luxury campground in the Rockaways is going pretty well — although he didn't get Camp Rockaway up and running in time for summer, he did raise $50,000 through Kickstarter and the project is a go. This past weekend, he held an event for backers complete with a demo tent, and Rockawayist was on hand to get some photos. The tent, set on a raised platform with wood flooring, looks pretty nice. Like, probably nicer than your apartment.
