As the International Center for Photography nears the end of its time in Midtown, the venerable museum is preparing to move to its new headquarters at 250 Bowery. The museum has operated on the corner of 43rd Street at 1133 Avenue of the Americas since 1974 and will finally vacate the space on January 11; however, the institute's photography school will stay at the current location until its lease is up in 2018, at which point it'll probably move downtown. Piano makers Steinway & Sons will soon take over the space, with architect Annabelle Selldorf redesigning the gallery. [Bowery Boogie; previously]
