As 5Pointz comes down, its neighbor goes up. Construction on the ODA-designed apartment building at 22-22 Jackson Avenue is moving right along beside the growing pile of 5Pointz rubble, and Field Condition recently stopped by the site. The building features ODA's signature stack-of-boxes look, and it will hold 175 apartments. FC points out that the cast-in-place building is being constructed in the same way as the supertall 432 Park, but "with a more playful massing of residential modules that randomly extrude from the facade." So basically, it's the opposite of the perfectly square 432 Park.
