The fancification of Red Hook continues with Sanba Partners' 20 new townhouses that will rise on King and Sullivan streets between Van Brunt and Richards streets. The project shares a likeness with the neighborhood's other notable new development, 160 Imlay Street, and that's project architect Aldo Andreoli of AA Studio. DOB permits indicate that the townhouses will average about 2,500-square-feet in size, rise three stories, and include roof access and a small backyard. The renderings for the project, first obtained by YIMBY, show that the building's will have varying facades of wood, metal, and brick.
It appears, for the most part, that the townhouses will assume space currently zoned for industrial use.
