Another Out-of-Context Building Will Come to Fourth Ave.

New, 10 comments

Another questionable looking building will arrive on Brooklyn's Fourth Avenue, courtesy of developer Juneng Zhao whose LLC plans to erect a monolithic glass structure just a few doors down from ODA's under-construction cascading stacked boxes. YIMBY snagged first renderings of the 12-story building at no. 271 and noted that it will have 26 apartments, 762 square feet of commercial space, and 2,627 square feet of community facility space. The architect of record is Tony Onyeagoro of Building Consulting Engineering, the firm that is coincidentally responsible for this other totally out-of-context building. Permits for the building on the corner of Garfield Place were filed in November. A completion date has not been set, but whenever it is, it's too soon.
