Ex-Real Housewives Stars Unload Brooklyn Townhouse

New, 12 comments

Former Real Housewives of New York stars Simon Van Kempen and Alex McCord, who Zillow describes as "the 'loudmouth' housewife" (side note: what on earth does a Real Housewives star have to do to earn that distinction?), have parted ways with their Cobble Hill townhouse, the Observer was the first to report last month. Van Kempen and McCord bought the house for $1.275 million in 2005 and renovated it during their reality TV days. The couple is now moving to Australia, for reasons that are probably very interesting, and put the home on the market back in September. It didn't last long, and was quickly snatched up by Marc and Jennifer Limotte, co-founders of the Milk & Cookies Bakery in the West Village, for $2.67 million, almost the full asking price. Lest you think this is the only one, here's a rundown of the many, many embattled estates of Bravo's Housewives.
