The gigantic residential complex coming to the shores of the Gowanus is, like the superfund canal in storm time, rising. The Lightstone Group's multi-building 700-apartment complex first made waves when it was announced in August 2012, and has somewhat steadily pushed forward since much to the chagrin of its neighbors. The site at 363-365 Bond Street was cleared of its existing structures in April, so it was surprising when PMFA visited the site just last week to find the building at 365 Bond well on its way. We visited ourselves to confirm: yup, the building's big, it's practically touching the canal, and it will change the composition of the neighborhood indefinitely.
