Former Rental Carnegie Park Begins Its New Life As Condos

Much to the dismay of at least one Yelp reviewer, Related Companies converted its huge rental building at the corner of East 94th Street and Third Avenue into condos, which are now up for grabs. The 325 units (down from 368 when they were rentals) range from 500-square-foot studios to 1,900-square-foot four-bedrooms. The interiors were overhauled to give the units new kitchens with Viking, Meile, and Sub-Zero appliances, Caesarstone counters, and Shaker-style cabinets, and new marble bathrooms. Many of the units face the building's private half-acre garden, and Robert A.M. Stern Architects redesigned the lobby and created a new two-floor amenity space with a gym, play room, and pool. Currently, the cheapest unit available is a $825,000 812-square-foot one-bedroom that looks out over Third Avenue, while the priciest offering is a $2.75 million four-bedroom, four-bathroom that measures 1,880 square feet.
