Joseph Chetrit plans to sell the Hudson Yards area property he owns at 541-545 West 37th Street for around $100 million, and the previous owner, Baruch Singer, is none too happy about it. Singer lost the site to foreclosure in 2011; Fortress Credit Corp. bought it for $2.5 million, then turned around and sold it to Chetrit in September 2012 for just $26.5 million. In a recent lawsuit, Singer argued that the "steep price appreciation" was evidence that the 2011 valuation was way off, but a judge ruled against him. [TRD; previously]
