The outer boroughs are booming with new hotels. Queens currently has 101 hotels and will add 50 new ones over the next four years, with 23 of those opening in Long Island City. In Brooklyn, the number of hotels is set to grow from 50 to 70 by the end of 2017; for perspective, the borough only had 28 hotels in 2008.
