Townhouse Sells for $3.45M, Breaks Crown Heights Record

New, 8 comments

A townhouse at 832 Dean Street just sold for $3.45 million, crushing the previous Crown Heights record that was set last month when a place on Saint Marks Avenue went for $2.9 million. As with that place, which was divided in five apartments, the townhouse distinction is slightly dubious as the Dean Street building consists of three units and "can easily be converted to condominiums," according to the listing. It's also not even one of the classic brownstones that the neighborhood is known for—the red brick facade is less than a decade old, and definitely projects the image of a multi-dwelling. But is in Crown Heights, barely, and it did sell for $3.45 million, according to the Post, so it owns the record for the time being.
