Blogger broker Andrew Fine recently paid a visit to 205 East 92nd Street, where developer Related Companies is constructing a Handel Architects-designed tower of 230 apartments. A few stories of the base, he reports, are up, which appears to put the building on track for its estimated 2016 completion. Eventually that base will rise to seven stories with another 28 stories of apartments on top of it. 46,000 of the project's 379,000 total square feet will go toward a school for children with learning disabilities, which the developer hopes will buy some good will from the community, which is not happy with them for destroying the old Ruppert Playground to make way for the tower.
