Long Island City is filled with old warehouses, but this one on Pearson Street was easily recognizable for the two commenters who guessed in this week's Cornerspotter. Located at 45-55 Pearson Street, the warehouse went up in 1924, and this photo shows it in 1948, when it was used by furniture manufacturer Ludwig Bauman and Co. Today, the block is seeing a lot of new construction; a new 197-unit rental building at 45-50 Pearson opened last year, and another new residential project is rising at 45-46 Pearson Street. So far, this warehouse has escaped new development, and it's currently used as self storage.
· Hint: In a Changing Area, This Warehouse Looks the Same [Curbed]
