Permits were filed in October, and now we have the first look at the 19-story tower coming to 1 Flatbush Avenue. 6qsft found renderings for the project by architect Goldstein Hill & West Architects on the website of Ryder Construction (though they might have been taken down). The permits are still pending, but if approved, the building will have 157 units, and retail on the first and second floors. The renderings indicate that the tower will be a departure from the Downtown Brooklyn uniform of glassy blue buildings, instead featuring what looks like black steel and red brick.
