30 Hudson Yards, the tallest of the Hudson Yards towers (and the only one that will feature a "thrill device" that will make you "crap your pants"), will officially rise to 1,237 feet when it's completed in 2018, NY YIMBY reports. That figure comes from new permits filed with the Department of Buildings. Though it was originally supposed to surpass 1,300 feet, it will still stand 27 feet taller than the Empire State Building, because the Empire State Building is now, by modern standards, just a kind of tall building.
