A Rockefeller Wants $7.5M for West Side Home of 14 Years

New, 5 comments

The great-grandson of The Original John D. Rockefeller and the son of a former vice-president, the late Nelson Rockefeller, is selling his blue-hued Central Park West apartment. The $7.5 million listing, first spotted by the team at Revaluate, just went live; Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller, Jr. picked it up in late 2000 for $2,300,000. The 2,215-square-foot place has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and "35 feet of sweeping views" that face both east to Central Park and south to Midtown's towers. There's also lots of wood paneling and pocket doors. As of 2013, the deed also includes Rockefeller's wife, Amy Taylor. His dad's former full-floor co-op at 810 Fifth Avenue sold for $23.9 million this time last year, so by comparison, this is chump change.
