Even though One World Trade Center is a publicly-owned buildingand arguably the most well-known publicly-owned buildingbut the Port Authority refuses to make public the rents of the tower's new tenants, claiming that doing so would "impair" the agency. Ironically, this information is readily available for privately owner towers like Larry Silverstein's 3 World Trade Center because they were financed by bond investors who need the information.
