Greenpoint Landing Mural; Hilfiger Penthouse Off the Market

New, 2 comments

GREENPOINT—There's a new mural at Greenpoint Landing, along the construction fence that surrounds the project's first affordable housing development. It was designed by local artist Greg Lamarche, whose "collages combine the city's relentless rhythm and graffiti's aggressive presence to express the power, elegance and rebelliousness of urban creativity." CENTRAL PARK SOUTH—A tipster has alerted us to the fact that Tommy Hilfiger's $80 million Plaza duplex penthouse appears to have been taken off the open market yet again. Hilfiger has been trying to sell the apartment since 2008, when he listed it for $50 million. He later delisted it and put $20 million worth of renovations into the place (how he even managed to spend that much on this renovation is really anyone's guess) before relisting the penthouse last October. Apparently, that didn't work out so well. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
