Bobby Flay Wants Out of His Chelsea Duplex for $8M

New, 27 comments

A new listing for a duplex in the Chelsea Mercantile building touts that the apartment has a "spectacular open kitchen designed with and for a PROFESSIONAL CHEF"—and a quick bit of digging reveals that the chef in question is none other than Bobby Flay, who's looking to sell the place for $7.95 million. Flay and his ex-wife, actress Stephanie March, divorced earlier this year, and according to reports, the Food Network personality kept their Manhattan apartment (along with a home in Amangansett) as part of the settlement. The duplex was created by combining two apartments on the eighth and ninth floors of the building, and the interiors were designed by MG & Company, which has worked with Flay on his NYC restaurants. Other amenities include a billiards room, built-in bookshelves, and industrial details (like exposed beams and a tin ceiling)—and yes, the kitchen is as big and nice as you'd expect.
